SUPERVISED VISITATION
Supervised visits are for children to spend time with the parent they do not live with. Children and their parent can rebuild their relationship with a Children’s Support Worker present, in a safe space. Conversations between children and their parent/carer are observed. A conversation that takes a direction where child/ren are obviously not comfortable, is redirected. Children and parents engagnein age-appropriate play and activities, thereby passively guiding parents for future parenting time, enabling parents to plan activities for their children, increasing parent’s confidence and skills in practical parenting methods.
- The supervisor is with the child/ren for the entire duration of the visit.
- The role of the supervisor is to supervise visits between children and their parent/carer they do not live with.
- Supervised parenting time is conducted for a minimum of 2 hours.
SUPERVISED VISITS IN THE COMMUNITY
Supervised parenting time is conducted in the community and occur at a variety of venues. Children and the parent they do not live are supported by the supervisor.
CHANGEOVERS

THE CHILDREN’S COMMUNICATION BOOK
We encourage parents to communicate with each other in a positive and effective manner, through the use of a communication book. The communication book is about the children with regards to their needs. Medical issues or what the children have been doing since the last time the other parent was with the child/ren. A communication book is not about child support, court matters or money. It’s about your children.
